sunshine & sea spray
you are my sunshine
dim grey light of dawn when you open your eyes, brown orbs searching for me in the dark, searching me
when you find me, you smile, sun breaking free from the horizon, painting the sky for me
you envelope me in warmth, i close my eyes to concentrate on the feel of it consciously absorbing the rays i can still see your face, shining through memory
i bask in the strength of your heat, my soul ignites, i taste the heat of your intensity, your love brands me
surrender to the sun
you are my sea spray
your voice lulls me into perpetual rest, its delicate tones undulate over me, sings to the very core of me, invites me into the depths of you
each time you reach for me your attempts break against the jagged shore of my resistance, “why do you hide?”
your essence washes over me, your mist surrounds me, your droplets cascade against me, “you are safe with me”
i feel your strength invigorating me, i taste passion intoxicating me, your whisper in the silence, “come”
